The First Annual Buck Up Day

Heretofore, the first Monday of December will be celebrated (half-fulls) or reviled (half-empties) as:

Buck Up Day

Today is a day to:
Pull your head out of that dark holey place it's been in and feel the sunshine on your (albeit atrophied) face.

DO something today. Don't make a martyr of yourself; it could be just washing your hair, but do something at least slightly productive.

Make at least one person smile, not counting yourself (okay, if you have to count yourself, you may; we do all have darker days at times).

Get cynical about one thing (only one, dear humans) today. It helps.

But do not get tiresomely cynical about "the holidays"! For crying out loud, it's crappy and commercialized and fake and pretentious, but World War Three it is not.

If you would like to add balanced, reasonable suggestions as to this holiday's guiding principles, feel free. If you would like to share how you celebrated this holiday, go for it.

Much bracing love to you all.
